Cage The Elephant- best night of my life thus far!
Opening bands Bear Hands and On The Avenue (Tampa local band) were a great, energetic opening. If you aren't from St. Pete, arrive early cause you might get lost!!! PARKING IS 5$ on 1st S and 2nd S in a light red tall building 24 hours near Jannus. I had the best spot in the place, front and center, cause we were so early. The venue at Jannus Live was clean, the bass shook my chest the whole show (in the best way!!!), and the sound was crystal clear.
Thanks to SHOCKTOP, FANTASTIC SAMS, THE TODD, 97X, and any other sponsors for the free show. I would have paid hundreds to see it and it means so much to me that I got to experience front row for free!!!!!!
The Schultz brothers were INCREDIBLE! I mean, all the times I've turned up my radio and smiled to hear their songs... just driving, working out, getting ready, anytime you name it... Their recorded music is excellent, but they sound so much better in person I think. His dance moves are original and explosive; his entertainment had me smiling and laughing the whole time. Plus, I cried when they played "Come a Little Closer" because I just never knew life could be so amazing. When Matt dove on top of me I almost DIED.
Matt was just dancing non-stop (but oddly enough never sounds out of breath... I don't know how he does it!) and he has the best voice I've ever heard. His energy is just alive and he really connects with the crowd. The entire band is SO talented... I mean these guys can PLAY!!! I'm so thankful I got to experience their music. It was life changing to watch them make the music right in front of me. I still can't even believe it was real.
